New Years Resolution: Dendy Benefits!

It's been awhile - (overseas trip, moving house, etc....) anyway a new year begins and with it a brilliant resolution:

To see every film with a general release at Dendy. i.e. no opera and we're not expected to see every film festival film, working hours just doesn't permit that!

So here goes:

Sat 1/1/11: The Tourist - second viewing. Very light film, but beautiful to watch and two of my favourite actors, so it was obviously a recipe for success! The last line of the film is a classic.... 4/5

Sun 2/1/11: Sarah's Key - Incredible film, somewhat refreshing in its handling of the subject matter. 4.5/5

Mon 3/1/11: Heartbreaker (French) - a typical French comedy (i.e. VERY light) but enjoyable at the same time. Fans of Dirty Dancing will be particularly delighted! 3/5

Tues 4/1/11: Meet The Parents: Little Fockers - if you've seen the first two, you probably feel invested like me? This ones not too bad, if you're expectations are low and you love Babs! 3/5

Sun 9/1/11: Tangled - one of my favourite Disney princess films (and according to sources their last). Some of the songs are too long, but the general plot and script provide fun for all ages 4/5

Wed 12/1/11: Morning Glory - this has had mixed reviews, but it's a good light hearted comedy to watch in the summetime. Good cast - Diane Keaton's part was perhaps a little too small. 3/5

Sat 15/1/11: The Dilemma - I was actually mildly looking forward to this after seeing the trailer, Vince Vaughn wasn't too bad back in the day. However, it made me question my new years resolution - one of the worst films I have ever seen!!!!!!!!! Terrible script and acting, absurd plot and no chemistry whatsoever amongst the couples? Do not bother 0/5 the only upside is that it will remind you of how there are some truly brilliant films out there and that's why we go to the cinema!

So, that's it so far, pretty good effort - off to see Black Swan this afternoon.
